In an era of online shopping and massive home improvement warehouses, the value of a local, family-owned business can sometimes be overlooked. However, when it comes to something as vital as the surfaces in your home, "local" makes all the difference. Lincoln Trail Decorating Center has been a fixture of the Vincennes, IN community since 1970. Our longevity isn't just a result of the products we sell; it’s a result of the relationships we build. When you choose us for your flooring, tile, or interior design needs, you aren't just making a purchase—you are joining a legacy of quality and trust.
The "Service After the Sale" Promise
The biggest risk of buying from a big-box store or an online liquidator is the lack of accountability. If a floor fails or an installation goes wrong, getting a human on the phone can be a nightmare. At Lincoln Trail Decorating Center, we pride ourselves on service after the sale.
If you have a question about how to clean your new Hallmark hardwood or need to understand the warranty on your Anderson Tuftex carpet, we are right here at 1432 N State Road 67 to help you. We stand by our work because we live in the same community as our customers. Our installers are part of our family, and their craftsmanship is a reflection of our company’s values.
Expertise You Won't Find Anywhere Else
Our staff doesn't just "work" in flooring; they are experts in the field. Many of our team members have decades of experience navigating the complexities of interior design and material science. We can explain why AquaLok is the right choice for your damp basement or why Timeless Design fits the aesthetic of your historic Vincennes home.
This expertise extends to our interior design services. We help you avoid costly mistakes by guiding you toward colors and materials that will look just as good in ten years as they do today. We take the guesswork out of remodeling, providing a curated selection of the best brands like Mohawk, Shaw, and Metroflor.
Free Estimates and Transparent Pricing
We believe that transparency is the foundation of trust. That’s why we offer free estimates for all our services. We provide a detailed breakdown of costs, so you know exactly what you are paying for—from the high-quality materials to the expert installation. There are no hidden fees or surprise "add-ons." We even accept a wide variety of payment types, including all major credit cards, to make the process as convenient as possible for you.
A One-Stop Solution
Whether you are looking for carpet, hardwood, vinyl, or custom tile shower installs, we handle it all. This "one-stop" approach saves you the hassle of coordinating between multiple contractors and suppliers. We manage the project from the initial measurement to the final cleanup. Our showroom is designed to be a place of inspiration, where you can see how different elements—like a tile backsplash and vinyl plank flooring—work together in a real-world setting.
The Local Economic Impact
When you choose a local family business, your investment stays right here in Vincennes. It helps pave our roads, support our schools, and grow our local economy. Beyond the economic benefits, there is a peace of mind that comes from knowing exactly who is entering your home. Our installers are trusted professionals who have built their reputations over decades of service in the area.
Investing in the Vincennes Community
When you spend your money with a local business, that money stays in the community. It supports local families and helps Vincennes thrive. For over 50 years, we have been proud to be a part of this city's growth. We’ve seen kids grow up and come back to us to buy flooring for their first homes. That kind of loyalty is earned through hard work, fair pricing, and a commitment to excellence.
We invite you to experience the difference that 50+ years of experience can make. You can learn more about our history and our team by visiting our About Us page.
